So as I was saying I am a huge environmentalist I am presently working on a huge project to the company I work with. It's one of those things that could be a boost for me in my standings with in the company. HGTV.ca:
Recycle Guide
Adopting a “green” lifestyle entails evaluating our basic human needs and taking heed to the “three Rs”: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Mindfulness when it comes to waste management goes a long way toward creating a healthier environment.
Reduce
Learning to minimize dependency on resources and live according to needs versus wants makes “Reduce” the first and most important step of the “three Rs”. How many times have you said “I want”? Instead, ask yourself what you need and consider the following:

Reduce
Learning to minimize dependency on resources and live according to needs versus wants makes “Reduce” the first and most important step of the “three Rs”. How many times have you said “I want”? Instead, ask yourself what you need and consider the following:
(1) how much space you realistically require;
(2) using eco-friendly products;
(3) purchasing items that will stand the test of time;
(4) buying in bulk, eliminating excess packaging;
(5) using natural (home-made) alternatives to cleaning supplies;
(6) investigating opt-out lists to eliminate bulk mailings;

(7) doing shopping and reading online, canceling catalog and magazine mailings;
(8) employing energy-saving strategies like using power strips, compact fluorescent light bulbs and rechargeable batteries.
Reuse
With an awareness of waste reduction comes the management of everyday household items. Wherever possible, products should be purchased for their durability or reusability. Broken items should be fixed rather than disposed of and, ideally, disposable or convenience items should be avoided at all costs. Consider:

Broken items should be fixed rather than disposed of and, ideally, disposable or convenience items should be avoided at all costs. Consider:
(1) donating gently-used items to charitable organizations;
(2) hosting a yard sale;
(3) finding “trash to treasure” creative uses for old products;
(4) investigating furniture, clothing or scrapmetal swaps.
Recycle
It is impossible to entirely eliminate waste, and in some cases reusability is not an option. The third and final option of the “three Rs” is “Recycling”: the conversion of used items back into raw materials which can be used to fabricate new products. Recycling programs continue to become established, most commonly handling plastics, glass and paper products. Many communities have also implemented “environment days” at locations where individuals can properly dispose of batteries, paint & toxic materials, electronics, metal and construction waste. Always purchase products made from recycled materials over those from new materials. This will ensure recycling will carry on for generations. After printing this guide and it’s use is no longer required, it is our hope that you will recycle this document.
